• X-Ray Structural Analysis Laboratory

  The X-Ray Structural Analysis laboratory has a single crystal 4-circle automatic Enraf-Nonius CAD4 diffractometer with a low temperature device, and a DRON-4 (Russia) powder diffractometer.

  Scientific interests: crystallography of small organic molecules, investigation of twinned crystal, aperiodic crystallography, high temperature superconductors, Colossal magnetoresistance materials.

  Tamazian Rafael (1958) - Head of laboratory (since 1999), candidate of phys.-mat. sciences (1987, Moscow Institute of Crystallographie Academy of Sciences USSR ).

  Karapetyan A. Harutyun (1954) - Senior Scientific Researcher, candidate of phys.-mat. sciences (1984, Kishinev, Institute of Applied Physics Academy of Sciences of Moldavian SSR, "Structural Investigations of Biologically Active Analgesics, Antitumour, Hestagenic and Psychotropic Compounds and Their Analogues").

  - Investigation of structure-activity correlation in biologically active compounds.

  - Theoretical calculations by modern methods of quantum chemistry and molecular mechanics. The investigation of correlation between the molecular structure and biological activity of various molecules.

  Terzyan S. Simon (1954) - Head of laboratory (1994-1999), candidate of phys.-mat. sciences (1984, Moscow, Institute of Crystallography, Ph.D. Thesis: "The Three Dimensional Structure of Inorganic Pyrophosphotase from Baker's Yeast in 3A Resolution".
